RP: With the enemy retreating into the mountains the top generals would have a quick meeting to try and find out what to do with this new fighting style that the enemy is using. And how we could counter it with as little casualties as possible on our side. Massive air raids would be ordered to strike infrastructure and other key areas that the enemy could use to advance during the fighting. They would also be orders to strike the enemy supply lines to try and starve them out. Air raids would also be lead on known locations or the enemy forces to try and force them out of the mountains as we fought them. Not only this but scout aircraft would be sent out to try and find the location of enemy forces and if found their coordinates would be given to commanders. Artillery would be set up to fire in the mountains that have not been captured to try and destroy any resistance left in them before sending troops to take the mountains. This would prevent unneeded casualties. Infantry would move along the mountains sides to prevent head to head combat with the enemy as we would try to push them out. They would then set up artillery positions in the mountains to try and attack enemy forces that tried to advance via trails. Armored trucks would be used instead of tanks as they are lighter and are able to maneuver the mountains better than tanks. They would be strapped with machine guns and would be used to raid enemy controlled highways and other infrastructure like roads and trails.
