So, uh… If I had a nickel for every time a mysterious figure haunted a young girl throughout the first part of the story, before revealing his name to her at the end of part 1, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice. I genuinely forgot that’s how this played out, and the similarity to Oakpaw’s experience with Sunsetpelt in FitD was not something I intended. I began FitD in 2021, before I even started reading Wings of Fire. And Oakpaw’s storyline was one of the first things I created for FitD. I think this similarity is only standing out to me now because me structuring FitD’s plot into 3 parts is a much more recent thing, not something I had in mind from the beginning. Though I’d honestly compare Cinnamonstrike to Darkstalker more than I would Sunsetpelt, though.
