Space/Click for his original TTTE-styled face and his variants See inside for his old shape (Which I decided to revamp) In honor of Sonic's 35th anniversary, here is my take on Sonic the Steam Engine. We all remember Sonic the Steam Engine, right? yep. He is created by Ben11GWR and is featured in Megahedgehogx's videos, especially in the trailers for Sonic the Steam Engine (Which have been reuploaded as the originals are now gone since Mega closed his channel). There are also various fan arts and vectors of this guy. Now for my take on him. Since Sonic the Hedgehog is a Japanese franchise, Sonic is an 0-6-0 Japanese tank engine that is a freelance design and doesn't resemble any real locomotive. He also has knuckle couplings. Now, I was originally gonna have every knuckle coupling on my train-ified characters be bronze, but I decided to go the Chuggington route and give them knuckle couplers depending on the railway they're from. For Sonic, his couplers are green, which The Mobian Railway used. His tank panels are also tan along with his side cab windows while his front cab windows are gold. He also has Mobian Railways lettering, a dark blue nameplate with his name and he still has his number 91, but it is now the same color as his name and lettering. Following this, his cylinders are white and his running board is blue. His cranks are also yellow instead of red. However, all he retains from his old shape are his boiler bands (which have been reduced to three) and his singular whistle. He also gained a headlamp. Sonic Lore: Sonic is a freelance 0-6-0 Japanese locomotive that was built in Japan by the Sega Locomotive Works in the year 1991. Unlike most locomotives, he can go much faster than any steam engine in all of Japan (even faster than that of a bullet train). He did his jobs so perfectly without a fault and everyone admired him and was famously known as "The Fastest Engine Alive". During Summer of the same year, his time in Japan came to an end due to his old line closing down. Everyone in Japan said farewell to him as he was sold to The Mobian Railway (A railway that is located between Japan and The United States of America where anthropomorphic animals and humans co-exist) as the railways controller Mr. Minton needed a new engine. After he did very well on his first day pushing and pulling coaches and freight cars, he has since stayed there as his new home, now sporting a blue Mobian Railway livery and is now assigned to working on the Green Hill Lines, which has became his new railway line on The Mobian Railway.
