Fixtures: Orona OR 96 (Now Dewhurst buttons and ACME indicator). Voice: Older Drucegrove (Replaced with the Spanish-English Orona male voice in 2013 and then replaced again with Daniel TTS UK in 2026). Doors: Fermator/Orona. Position of the motor room: At floor 0, behind the shaft. Logic: Orona Arca 1 microprocessor controller. Motor: Beringer (Bucher Hydraulics) submersible pump unit. Starter type: Solid state. Maintenance company: Bimo Lifts. Location: Undisclosed block of flats, Thornwick Grove, ST. This lift is a 1999 Thyssen branded Orona hydraulic lift but it got an horrid slap on mod by Bimo Lifts in 2026 which features stupid Dewhurst, the Daniel TTS voice from the UK with goofy announcement, horrible button beep sound, a random goofy song player, an horrible IMEM floor passing chime and some more weird goofy rubbish! The door close button doesn't even work! Luckily, it still runs well and still has the original logic. The Beringer hydraulic motor still sound epic and it has pre-doors! The lift is located at a nice fairly recent block of flats in Thornwick Grove which opened in July 1999. This block of flats also features a 1st gen FireSweeper addressable fire alarm system with EST Integrity horn strobes and remote strobes from 1999. It got updated in May 2011 with PyroStop low frequency sounders. Also, the HVAC system is a Mitsubishi system from '99 which has been modernized in Aug. 2025 by Mitsubishi to make it more energy-efficient.
