[SPOILER WARNING] (If you haven't seen it yet, what are you doing?! Go watch it NOW.) That was... ✨️BEAUTIFUL✨️ Gooseworx is an AMAZING writer, I loved it so muchhh I don't even know what to say... Well FIRST OF ALL, ALL THE SHIPPERS GOT FED THIS EPISODE. We got Bluetooth, Funnybunny, Jesterdoll, RibbitRabbit, Abstragedy... Holy HELL we got Abstragedy XD (And Gooseworx said that there would be no romance in her show. Yeah RIGHT, Gangle and Zooble are practically married now) I know that a lot of people probably aren't going to like the fact that Jax abstracted but I think it was a really good choice for the story. Even though I DID NOT want him to abstract and didn't think he was GOING to abstract. He was the most likely to abstract and that somehow made his abstraction more surprising. It's the same thing with the episode 7 ending. Like we all expected it but... didn't. I know we were ALL thinking "Oh, Pomʼni's going to save him" but the fact that she didn't made it feel so much more real because that's not how it actually works irl and I actually like the fact that Gooseworx didn't immediately bring him back... Even if that made it hurt SO much more. ALSO, I'm going to talk about allegories now. I think we all know what abstraction is an allegory for. We've already had a body dysmorphia allegory with Zooble's entire thing but what I did NOT expect was Jax. I've heard of the fan theory of Daisy or Jaxxy and I thought it was cool but never actually took it seriously because I thought it was just a fun little idea. NOW that these scenes in episode 9 have happened and I'm thinking about what's happened in the show with Jax in the past... "Pinnacle of masculinity", his room, and the way he reacted to the maid dress vs. how he reacted to the bow that Ribbit gave him. I think it's HEAVILY implied that what he told is mom was that he was transfem. Especially when he said that the thing that he told his mom was deep and personal and that she had laughed at him for it. Especially because Jax is confirmed to be Gooseworx's favorite character/self-insert. You don't think that she would include something that she has probably experienced herself? I'm sure if I rewatch the show I could find more things supporting this like: "We have a strict no girls policy" (Dream/Abstraction Jax said this) and Gooseworx saying that Jax mostly bullies the girls in the circus because he "has problems that he hasn't worked out with himself yet". (UPDATE: I just found out that this actual IS cannon so... GREAT symbolism. As a gender non-conformer (I'm saying this since not everyone considers enby to be trans even if I do TvT) I LOVE that.) I almost switched sides in the funnybunny vs jesterdoll ship war when Pomʼni was all glitchy on the couch and Ragatha reached out and touched her TvT (Pom) ... Doesn't that hurt? (Ragatha) I've been through worse... LIKE AHHHH OKAY, SAPPHICSSS I cried when he said "I don't want to go..." Like NOOoOOOOo *SOB* JAX NO STAY WITH US
