I made it mostly because I wanted to show a little more of the destruction Polina has wrought, and the suffering that exists within her "perfect" universe. Takes place roughly 5 days after Taro wired Polina into Dr. White's psychic broadcasting terminal at the end of Zero Sum. EXTRA LORE: As the White Institute continued its research on parapsychology in the late 1970s, they created the Psychic Broadcast Network. Consisting of telecommunications equipment modified to conduct psi-particles, the PBN relays were devised as a way to increase the range of telepathy without putting too much additional strain on psychics' minds. Though there were plans in the late 1990s and early 2000s to expand the network past the Greater Sacramento area and throughout the entirety of the continental United States, the project was ultimately abandoned in 2006, due to concerns about the implications of widespread telepathic communication networks, and how easily they would allow for a powerful psychic to override the will of large quantities of people. The signal is still spreading. Did you know that Sam is currently Trollsome's only non-fanmade LGBTQ+ character? (The only other candidate I can think of is Tara, but I don't think Trollsome knew what trans people were when he released the "gender bender pride" project.)
