Being that [Aspen] is withdrawn and their personality revolves around mine, her withdrawn behavior is a symptom of autism. I deal with it by not constantly being in situations that would put a lot of stress on me, or in situations of high stress I would take short breaks of just quiet, [Aspen], being that they have responsibilities in the clan as a warrior she would/will often ask to go on hunting patrols by themself or with only one other [cat], someone that she often trusts or feels comfortable with. [Aspen] has withdrawn behavior due to Autism; it is a mental disorder that the affected person is born with. Common symptoms include constant difficulty in social communication and interactions, and restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, activities, and/or interests. Sensory differences, heightened or reduced sensitivity to sound, touch, light, taste, smell, and proprioception (the body’s ability to sense its position, movement, and force without relying on visual input, enabling balance, coordination, and precise motor control.) Just like anyone else, people (In this case, cats) with disabilities need to care for their health. They need to eat sufficiently, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, and have regular check-ups (In the case of WC, check in with the medicine cat from time to time) Autism affects the way [Aspen] lives by causing them to need a check-up with the medicine cat weekly it also makes them want to take patrols alone, with only one other cat, or if a group is required, cats she deeply trusts and relies on. ___________________________________________ |~| The way I will roleplay [Aspen] due to her Autism |~| I will often put Aspen on patrols with cats in the RP she makes deep bonds with and try to do an SRP from time to time. I will try to roleplay Aspen with the medicine cat from time to time as well. Aspen will not share her true feelings to cats she doesn't trust wholeheartedly and will more often than not talk in short sentences, leading her to struggle with small talk. ___________________________________________ Example: Aspensorrel sat with Examplewing beside the fresh kill pile, looking around the busy camp. "Busy" They said quietly, pulling a bird from the pile. "As it always is" Examplewing said, biting into his own piece of freshkill, "How have you been doing Aspensorrel?" "Good" They said shortly "Anything going on? How was hunting today?" He pressed "No, it was good" They took another bite of the prey. "Okay, good" Examplewing looked around the camp, feeling awkward Aspensorrel did not feel the awkwardness in the air and continued to eat as Examplewing continued to look around camp, Once Aspen finished the prey, they buried the bones and walked away, not realizing she had made Examplewing feel awkward
