If you die (get voted out or killed by the imposter) then you become a ghost. You can float through walls, see other ghosts, and spy on other players! CURRENT STATE: All players are kind of a mix between imposters and crewmates. You can vent and kill like an imposter, but can also be killed like a crewmate.
