Through talks and discussions, they decided to unite the two communist giants into a megapower, combating the western side and preventing the fall of the Soviet Union. This significantly increased the communist influence in Asia, Africa, Americas and Europe and prevented the fall of communism in Warsaw Bloc nations with the exception of East Germany. African and Asian nations that suffered economic instability or conflicts at the time such as the DRC, Syria, Zimbabwe and another Sub-Saharan countries faced the left side for exchange for support. The union survived until the 20th century, and this inspired Yugoslavia to prevent its collapse too.
