"In all of my wandering, I'm held in the arms of God" This song took 4 takes since my voice sounded bad in the morning- But I don't mind since I really love this song, it's quite comforting. Things haven't been too great in my life lately, there's a lot of pressure to do really well, more specifically, to perform (piano) very well, or perfectly. The pressure has been getting to me as my senior solo recital comes near (it's a week from today). But this song has reminded me of some of God's wonderful truths, which I will share with you in this description. 1) God holds the outcomes and the future that you so worry about. Let Him deal with it, give whatever you're anxious about to Him. He will help you if you let Him. 2) God holds you in His loving arms and cares for you when no one else will. Even on the most isolating, heartbreaking of nights, He is there for you. No amount of worldly things can satisfy that. No amount of pleasures, successes, people, whatever you wish for, is as great as the true comfort and love found in God. 3) Even though you wander so far, you're still in God's presence (as the song says). No matter where you are in your life you can always come back to Him. 4) God doesn't change no matter what you do. You could do the worst sin out there and He'd still forgive you. You could be in a cycle of sin, guilt, asking for forgiveness, and then sinning again, and He'd still love you. That doesn't mean you should stay in that cycle and keep not making the effort to change, but I will say.. God doesn't change based on you, but /you/ should be the one changing based on Him. I hope this song will also remind you of some of these truths and that you would find comfort in the Lord. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Abide in Him.
Lyrics: Too many questions Too many doubts Not enough answers to figure it out When you're born near the fire You get used to the heat 'Til you wander and find that you had all you need Oh, what a mercy Oh, what a grace His love for me wouldn't Let me escape Every moment Every mile In all of my wandering I'm held in the arms of God It's hard to imagine When you've run so far You're still in His presence wherever you are And even the far place You think that you found His Spirit is there so it's still holy ground Oh, what a mercy Oh, what a grace His love for me wouldn't Let me escape Every moment Every mile In all of my wandering I'm held in the arms of God Ever so grateful All I can say Is thank you Lord, thank you With every new day I'm covered, protected My heart is at home I'll sing hallelujah wherever I go Oh, what a mercy Oh, what a grace His love for me wouldn't Let me escape Every moment Every mile Even my wandering All of my questioning Everywhere, everything Is held in the arms of God - Credits: -The Lord <3 -Vocals/piano: me -Song: Arms of God - Natalie Layne -Background: not mine, found elsewhere
