In the game Axel's purpose was to be kind of a mini boss. He was supposed to be a roadblock between points in the story. He used to be a normal axolotl before getting a drill for hand thanks to the villain guy. He was in the area when the corruption was unleashed. He quickly used his drill to dig underground to avoid danger. One day he opened up a hole to see if the city was clear. It wasn't he was attacked by a corrupted. He made it out uncorrupted but his legs were paralyzed. He borrowed underground. He will occasionally pop up above ground to gather supplies and then burrow back. He has lots of underground tunnels that he uses for shelter. He has to crawl through these tunnels though
