She rolled over onto her back, grumbling about being awake. Her father, Vine, padded into the den, shoving her horn with his claw. “Wake up Sleepyhead! It's your brother's day!” He rumbled, smiling for the first time in quite a . Blueberry shot up immediately, excitement rushing through her. She followed her dad outside, the bright sun blinding her the second they stepped out. When she adjusted to the light, she spotted her brother sitting on the highest branch of the groups tree. He waved down at her and she, to him. “Congrats, my new king!” She teased. He play-growled at her, carefully crawling down the tree to be by her side. “I haven’t even become the leader yet, so you won't have to address me like that until then…” He joked. Vine laughed, covering it with a rough cough. “Alright you two, cut it out. Strawberry, go get ready for the day. ” The two siblings nodded and Strawberry pranced off towards his den. Blueberry and her father sat awkwardly together, waiting for something to happen. Most of the group was still resting or cleaning themselves up to prepare, so they were the only ones outside. She opened her mouth to say something then closed it. It had been a rough few months for the horde, and that was partly her fault. A few months ago, she had been given the order from Vine to lead a search for the outsider who was stealing food. The search party found him, but he ended up oofing Blueberries mother and a young child who tagged along before escaping. Her father was angry,sad and worst of all, disappointed in her. Vine sighed, and turned away, leaving her to herself. Breaking her thoughts, Cream, her friend, or maybe something more, placed his tail on her shoulder gently. “Blueberry.” He greeted her gently. Her face got hot and she jumped back to face him. “Oh, I didn't mean to scare you.” He smiled. He always made her feel calm when he spoke, with his soft voice and careful choice of words. “Are you excited for the ceremony? I am.” Cream purred. That was weird. He didn't even like Strawberry.
Um so I had so censor this chapter so much? It doesn't really matter between the two versions, but if you want to read the OG I trust you can find it. Otherwise just read this one. "Silver!
