(!⚠️TW FOR THE CHPT⚠️!) Meanwhile~ ========== Quinn looked out to the sky, a neutral expression on his face. It wasn't calm, but it wasn't any sign of negativity. Just blank. "What are the plans for tomorrow, my future king?" The glitch demon asked, breaking the -somewhat peaceful- silence. They were in the prince's room, had been watching season two of Hazbin Hotel, until it had finished up. The demonic angel turned to look at her, after a moment. "Tomorrow? We've got a meeting to attend to. Apparently, Adam and Eve have something for me to do." Quinn replied smoothly, a faint smirk on his lips. Jade sat up, her dark green hair gleaming in the light of the sunset outside. "Sounds terrific. Hopefully everything should go to plan, then." She replied, her lips forming into a devious grin. "Oh, it will, my dear Jade. Everything always has, and everything will. Now that everything's gone how it should've, well... That makes things even better." The angel answered, walking over to her and running his hand slowly through the other's hair. It was a rare, genuine, sign of affection from him. Without warning, a loud crash echoed from downstairs. Jade's body tensed under Quinn's own touch, and her beloved King-to-be stared at the door, the rare affectionate gaze hardening back into his usual coldness. "Come with me. Downstairs. Now." He ordered strictly, his gaze snapping back down to Jade. His glitch demon nodded once, her blazing bright blue eyes practically glowing in the fading light. ~~~~ Rue narrowed her eyes, her neck snapping behind them to check the other two were behind her. To the rebel's relief, both of them were. Nexus was staring at the window they'd just smashed through, and her brother was looking right back at her. "I need you two to cover me. Distract that demonic thing, and I'll hatch my own plan." Ruella stated, her voice coming out in a low hiss. Merc nodded at once, a sly smile forming on his own faceplate. "Of course. I'll happily distract that thing for you. I've been longing to deal with him." Mercury said with a mischievous smile, malice burning through his red eyes. Nexus glanced at his silly gay man blankly, then looked at his sister. "Just yell out if you need at least one of us at all. I know we've gone through the structure of our plan already, but please keep that in mind." The emo stated, exhaling through his lips. Rue only smiled. A thin lipped smile that spoke "this could get messy but I couldn't care less" without needing to say the words out loud. Though she didn't need to. What was the point, when they knew it, anygays? "I'll keep that in mind." The rebellious angel answered finally, tilting her head to the side slowly as she replied. Thundering footsteps echoed from upstairs, heading towards them. Rue looked up at the direction, grinning widely as she listened. Then out of nowhere, she had disappeared. But yet both Nexus and Mercury knew that she was following the order of the plan. "What are you two doing here?" A male voice snarled, as the demonic angel came into view to the two gays. Narrowing their eyes, Mercury smirked widely at him. "Oh, ya know. Thought we'd pay a little VISIT after killing our sister's boyfriend. You know how it works." He said simply. Nexus watched the duo, his pupils concentrated on Quinn; just in case he instantly tried anything. The demonic angel scoffed. "Her boyfriend? He was pretty stupid for a boyfriend. Thinking he could outsmart me, even when I kidnapped him? Moon, whatever his name was, was such a fool." He mocked, his radiant green eyes glowing a deep shade of red. Mercury's jaw clenched, and they spat harshly through gritted teeth. "Listen here, Quinn. If you don't hush and keep your pretty mouth SHUT, things could get much uglier than this." They snarled, as Nexus took a step forward, standing protectively beside his little gay buddy. The enemy's eyes only narrowed, another scoff escaping from his mouth. "I doubt you could hardly do a single thing. You're just an animatronic, just like Moon was." Quinn spat, cockiness evident in his tone. Surprisingly, Mercury didn't snarl back at him. Instead, a wide-spread cold grin formed on Mercury's faceplate. Taking him aback, Merc had vanished from both Nexus' and Quinn's eyesight. The demonic angel rolled his eyes. "Hide and seek is what we're playing now, is it?" He mocked coldly. That's when the air shifted. Abruptly, tight pressure formed around Quinn's neck, making him unable to move from the rigid state. The demonic angel's eyes broadened, horror replacing the smug look that was previously in his eyes. His hands reached for his neck, trying to pry the hands off of his skin, gasping for air. "LET ME GO!" Quinn shrieked, his voice cracking due to the loss of air. The demonic angel's pupils were frozen, glued to make eye contact with the tall emo-themed animatronic in front of him. Watching the situation unfold ahead of him, Nexus only locked his gaze with Quinn, silent. (+)
(!!!AGAIN, TW FOR THE CHPT!!!) ~~In the other room~~ -------------------------------------- Rue stood in front of Quinn's bedroom door, sensing another's presence inside of the room. Her eyes narrowing darkly, she slammed the door open, taking a few steps into the room. Confirming her strong instincts, Jade was in the room; the glitch demon's back turned to her. However, as she had heard the loud slam, her neck practically snapped to see Rue. "Oh, here's the stupid princess. What, insanity's driving you too hard ever since your stupid man died?" The demon hissed cruelly, her dazzling blue eyes glinting with a deep red spark. The rebellious angel's eyes clouded with wrath, yet she only took a single step forward. "You wouldn't have any idea. Maybe Quinn will, soon, though." Rue replied bluntly, glaring at the demonic angel's partner. Jade tusked, smirking scornfully. "Dream on, little dreamer. Or should I say hallucinate more?" She mocked, her smirk extending sharply. The tension in the room thickened heavily as the two females stared at one another, with a rollercoaster of emotions burning in the two's gaze. Without any subtle warning, Rue summoned her scythe, raising it up high and lunging it down to land on top of Jade. Just in the nick of time, Jade teleported out of the way, a radiant blue static glitching throughout the room. Rue snapped her neck, her pupils dilating as she stared around the room, looking for any veiled clues. A malicious smirk formed on her lips as the TV in the room had a light blue screen. "Bingo. She's not as sly as she makes out," the rebellious angel growled lowly to herself. She slammed the scythe down on top of the goggle box, smashing it into broken pieces. At the same time, a pained screech escaped from it. Jade's form then appeared on the floor, glitching with pale blue static coming off of her. Her arms were broken, one of her legs were twisted the wrong way around, and she now had a deep scar across her face. Which was from the scythe in the rebellious angel's hands. Unable to sit up, Jade stared up at Rue, a mix of horror, fear, anger, and dread burning in her bright blue eyes. While Rue raised the scythe up once again, Jade's pupils dilated in pure terror, shrinking against the floor weakly. She was defenseless now. Completely weakened, against her will. The corrupted angel chuckled darkly. "Say farewell, little Jade." === Mercury dropped Quinn to the floor, their red eyes glinting with pure malice, with a wide-spread grin to match. A dark chuckle left the gay's mouth-plate. "I told you, Quinn. Things could've gotten uglier. You brought this onto yourself; it's nobody else's fault for what you chose." The demonic angel held onto his own neck tightly, still fighting to catch his breath back. He clenched his jaw, gasping for air. "Shut it. You think I make things get ugly? Rue was the one who nearly killed her parents at 17!" Quinn snapped, gritting his teeth. For a split second, shock registered on both Mercury and Nexus' expressions by the sudden fact. But then Mercury rolled his eyes. "Stop changing the subject. You know what you did to Rue years ago." He growled. The demonic angel opened his mouth to object, but then something made Quinn freeze up completely. Jade's body suddenly dropped to the floor, from the ceiling somewhere, right in front of Quinn. Her limp, lifeless body made all the colour drain from his face. "JADE!" Quinn screamed, instinctively moving and reaching out to her. Running his hand tenderly through her hair, the realisation set, confirming his worst fear. He looked up, then froze as Rue suddenly stood over the top of him; an icy, hard stare returning his gaze. A shaky breath left his lips. "You- you monster! First off your incident when you were 17- now my PARTNER?!" Quinn shrieked, hysteria echoing through his tone. Rue didn't even blink, only stared down at him. "Eye for an eye says you owe me a debt. Blood demands blood, so I'll get my hands wet." Rue hissed darkly, her eyes burning into a bright shade of purple. Quinn visibly flinched as she summoned her scythe into her hand. Mercury and Nexus watched her with matching smirks as she, again, raised the scythe. Quinn was too horrified to move at all. "So. Say farewell to everything, Quinn." Rue taunted lightly, raising the scythe above her head. Quinn's eyes were glued to her own, paralysed. Rue brought down the scythe on Quinn. ~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 54? >:) Song: HUSHH - AViVA Thumbnail: TSAMS Plot twist; both of them died >:)
