We all know that feeling: you're having a nice conversation on Scratch with your friends, and one of them makes a reference that you don't get. Confusion, annoyed explanation, and perhaps Googling the fandom's wiki ensue. But that got me wondering...what do people actually know about these relatively obscure fandoms? Welcome to Memoryless Homestuck! An experiment to see how people who haven't read Homestuck rewrite its plot. This'll work similarly to the Ultimate Story Game and its many sequels: 1. First, you read the latest page. 2. Second, you remix the page to give this young man (or whoever we're controlling at that time) a command. Rename the remix to "> [Command, prefixed with [Person]: if you're commanding a specific person]." and change the page to show the results of the command. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 ad infinitum. Some notes: - If you HAVE read Homestuck, try not to mess with this too much. You can give, like, vague clues as to what happens in canon Homestuck, but try to let the non-Homestuckers create their own storyline. - Homestuck has some pretty severe swearing and mature themes, but keep Memoryless Homestuck appropriate for Scratch. I don't want to get my project taken down :< - You can absolutely split the timeline up if you want! That almost never happened in canon Homestuck, so it'd be cool to see it happen here. - Time travel and retcons (changing the canon) will need approval by an admin (me or anyone else who's read Homestuck). - Unless a panel requires showing arms to make sense (i.e., someone is holding an object), don't give the characters arms as an homage to the original art style. Have fun! - @TLoZ_Is_Cool
All credits go to Andrew Hussie, the author of Homestuck. I just created this fan project and remade some of his art.
