(I'm starting with chapter 5, yes, because I'm so locked in on it. Its insane how much I did already.) [Forsaken: new beginning] :Chapter 5: Chance's choice. Darkness... It seemed to be everywhere in this realm. And its not the darkness you would find peaceful. Something about it gave you chills. But you couldn't figure out what. You looked around the endless void. You squinted, trying to get a better view. But it was useless. You stood in silence for what seemed like days. Then, a twinkle in the distance. You walk towards it. More twinkling. Then the darkness seemed to brighten, the sky and ground turning a dark purple. You look around again, more twinkling. They were stars! They looked so pretty! You stare in awe, then look up at the sky above you. Planets were visible. But not any known planets. You look down and notice grass was starting to spread under your feet and traversed outwards. You watched silently, your mouth slightly agape. Then a brighter light seems to drift down from the sky. The ball of light hovers in front of you for a few quiet moments before glowing brighter than shifting into a being. You noticed that they gave off the same vibes as C00lkidd... but something about them was more holy. They glowed a mix of yellow and purple and a tail with a star shape at the end waved behind them excitedly. The being looked like a Nova star mixed with a human body. Strange. You squint once more as you gaze at this stranger. "H-hello?" You choked out, voice raspy and almost painful. The other being blinked slowly before lowering onto the ground. The grass beneath their feet shriveled, starting just a small fire that almost instantly died out. They grinned just slightly, but it didn't look right. You shivered. "Welcome." The stranger greeted in a shrill male voice that definitely didn't match their appearance. "You have been brought here for a very important reason. One that will be revealed soon." You adjust your hat, suddenly feeling very uncomfortable. "Uh, W-where am I though?" You ask. "Somewhere between the world's. You have been wandering an unknown for quite some time." The stranger said. "Father Noli found your resting place. He will return soon." You froze. Father...Noli? NOLI? Noli wasn't a father. And he definitely wasn't a good person either. You look around the dark realm, but all you see is the green grass stretching onwards and the twinkle of stars. "Noli?. . .Why did you say 'father'?" You look back at the stranger. "Noli is my creator. I respect him, he respects me." The being said, their tail waves along the grass and shrivels up the bright green. You watch the tail for a moment, slightly worried, but you don't mention it. "So, then, why did he bring me here?" You question, looking at the grass underneath your feet. Still green. The stranger shrugs "Beats me. I'm only here to make sure you don't harm yourself." You raise an eyebrow. "Why would I do that?" "the realm can get intense when not watching it. A few suffered." They said. "But don't worry, I'll make sure it stays simple." "Who else was here?" You ask, furrowing your brow. "They harmed themselves?" "Those are questions I cannot and will not answer." The being sighed. "For reasons I cannot explain." "Okay..." You watch the stranger for a few moments. "When is Noli coming?" "its bound to be soon. At the moment he is dealing with more major matters." You nod in understanding. "Alright." The being watched you for a moment then morphed back into a ball of light and floated off. You stared after them then sat down on the grass. You look at the shriveled up grass the being stood on, then sighed. You sat there for a few minutes, staring ahead, then you looked up at the sky. You watched the stars twinkle then noticed that they slightly shifted. You smile just slightly at the beautiful sight. Then you lay back in the grass. You studied one of the strange planets that were visible. Then you noticed, the planet glitching. You instantly frown. What the hell was that? You sit back up, watching the planet more closely, then the stars and planets fade away all at once. You stand up, now cautious. You look at the ground and notice the grass was starting to disintegrate. You look around the now dark void. "Hello? Noli? Star person?" You called out, but nothing answered you. You made a small whimper. You did not want to sit in the darkness once more. You walked forwards a few steps then bumped into something solid. Startled, you stepped back and fixed your sunglasses. You reach a hand forwards and it bumps against something and nothing at the same time. You furrow a brow. Then you hear a clicking behind you and you whip your head around. Another being stood in front of you. It was someone you recognize. Noli. Next to him floated the same star being from earlier. Noli clapped and stepped towards you, his shattered mask still had that sinister grin carved into it.
(+) "You have awoken! I thought it would have taken you longer, since you have been sleeping for... almost a week now." Noli said in his calm but cocky voice. The god looked a bit different now. Where'd he get the suit and scarf? You stared at Noli, not responding. It didn't feel like you needed to. Noli continued, since you didn't speak. "Perhaps you're wondering why you're not dead, there is a good reason. You aren't in the Spectre's realm anymore. It lost control. Now, you're in my hands." Noli says, fixing up his suit just slightly. "I have a deal for you, Chance. Simple as ever." You narrowed your eyes. "Why should I trust you and take your deal? You're a mass murderer." "Yes, but right now i'm in control. And I can make your life quite unpleasant. But Typhon is unpleasant enough, you won't last a day if I throw you in it." Noli said. "What's Typhon?" You question. "Another realm. War, war, blah, blah, giant metal machines that'll crush you, guns, death." Noli snickered. You didn't laugh. You were unsettled, of course. Anyone would be. "So...then what's your deal?" "You, work WITH me. On Typhon, You can gain a strong reputation quickly. Especially with me on your side. As long as you work with me, you stay alive, and you'll get the happy life you've wanted for decades." Noli said, his grin stretching wider. You stared. You knew it wasn't that simple. With Noli, anything can happen. "Any catch?" You ask. Noli shakes his head. "No catch. Its simple as that." The god said. The star being next to him shifted into a ball of light. Noli grabbed the star and tossed it between his hands. "So, do we have a deal?" Noli stops tossing the star to hold out a hand, the star hovering above his other. For a second, you don't move. Then you hesitantly stretch out a hand. Noli took your hand and shook it. His grip was almost burning. You gasp in surprise and try to pull your hand away, But Noli's grip was firm. Noli's grin stretches even wider. "Great. Yam will transport you." He released your hand. You look at your hand that was starting to blister and wince. Noli dropped the star and it shifted back to a being, then Noli glitched away. The star being floated over to you. You look at them. The star being took out a small normal looking blade then sliced it through the air. With a cracking sound, a large purple streak ripped through the air. "you can travel through that." The star said. That'll take you back to Typhon." You stare at the streak, it looks like a rift, then you looked back at the star. The star nodded back at the rift. You inhale as you look back at the rift then you step through it. You appear in a dark forest. Soon afterwards, the rift closes with a sharp snap. You look back at where the rift used to linger then looked around the forest. You inhale again then step into the shadows.
