I'm not going to type much since there's THREE ROLLS OF YARN blocking my keyboard. So, it's Wednesday, and I have not drawn enough Owl House. Just ONE queer character for a queer show? Disgraceful. To make up for it: Raine Whispers, who is CANONICALLY Non-Binary! They are indeed very cool, and Eda (their girlfriend/character in the corner has good taste) Also, their voice actor is so good for them. Like, I look at them and think "They probably sound like this." Absolutely perfect. So, in The Owl House, it all (mostly) takes place on The Boiling Isles. On the Boiling Isles there's no humans, just creatures and witches. Except (most) of these witches aren't evil, just people who can use spells and stuff. There's several covens, and which one a witch chooses dictates the kind of magic they get to learn. Originally, you could only choose one and that single one was the ONLY magic you could ever cast, but then the show happens and you get to pick multiple. Raine came before that, and they choose the Bard coven. And let me just say: THEIR SIGIL WAS SUCH A PAIN TO DRAW. It looks simple, but it took me like three takes to get it right, and it STILL looks awful because it's all small now and stuff. ;-; it looks like one of those temporary tattoos you get at school events and the like instead of a mark that forces you into practicing one kind of magic. And oh my gosh, Raine I love you but OH your hair kept messing with me. It took at least five takes I think. I was so tired after line-art I just used the fill tool, but that made it a PAIN to do the thumbnail. Why do I keep doing this to myself? Lesson learned: only use the fill tool if you don't plan on grouping everything and changing it all to a solid color. The composition for today was really trippy too. I kinda didn't draw the end of Eda's hair, so I had to squish her down at the bottom. And the flag, term, and pronouns take like a third or quarter of the whole canvas. Not very smooth, I'll tell you, but it had to be done.
Art: @Floppy_Art83 - their hair kept BOTHERING ME. I literally had to copy/paste the art from the TOH wiki, put it in a drawing software, trace it to understand the shape, then redraw it here. ;-; Character: Raine Whispers from Disney and Dana Terrace's The Owl House. Character(s)'s Identity: Non-binary. Neither male or female / of the two binary genders. Non-binary can also be an umbrella term, so technically, iM aLsO nOnBiNaRy?? Eh, I prefer using Agender for myself :) Some non-binaries (or enbies/borls, like an equivalent for boys and girls. There's also enben for adults) may refer to themselves as cisgender, so if you are one of these people, sorry about putting you're identity under this week X_X
