Today, I took legacy on an outing to meet a fellow foal. His owner and I thought it would be a great idea for both of them to get used to meeting other horses, and this was a good first step. At first we held their lead ropes, letting them sniff each other, and then when we were confident they weren’t going to attack each other, we let them out in the field. Legacy didn’t seem to bothered, but milo cantered towards her and they then started chasing each other round the field, like a little game of tag. I decided that was enough for today, and we should be careful to not let either if them get overstimulated in this new situation. I managed to slow them down, swiftly putting on legacy's foal slip. We said our goodbyes, and we were off.
