And so the elections end. All sectors have voted for their representative... and predictably: the Imparat has prevailed. Now time for some lore about the Imparat. The Imparat is a far right political party in Voidia that appeared after Yutan came into power and he made his reforms. The Imparat on the outside looks like any other far right political party. Sort of. They aren't going to claim that Voidians are superior to any other race. However the Imparat do believe that the galaxy is in its nature a hostile place. It believes that democracy is too slow and that the most effective ideology for this hostile space is any ideology that allows for quick decision making. This results in authoritarianism. At least that's what the average member believes and how it markets itself. In truth it's more in lines of an oligarchical kleptocracy. It is led by Andrew Wanefield and his lackeys. The ultimate goal of Wanefield is to turn Voidia into a super power and to get rich while doing it. Unlike other evil dictators or villains Wanefield is competent. The Imparat itself is surprisingly organized, it is essentially a hierarchical system. With Wanefield and his friends at the top. It has its own militia, known as the regimental they are essentially Wanefields most fanatical members who act as body guards. Wanefield has many plans for Voidia... he has many many plans... Now to Wanefield himself. Wanefield is truly a 1 in a million politician. He is a loyal Voidian. He is a proud Voidian. And yet he is still greedy. He was born in a society that valued self sacrifice and created a beautiful system by a tired, traumatized but in the end benevolent leader and yet is still greedy when the indoctrination of Voidian education should have stamped out human greed. And yet he still retains his greed. But his most rare trait? His out right freakish self control. Unlike his lackies (who failed their indoctrination and retained their human greed) Wanefield retains an out right freakish level of self control. Which he uses to keep himself from destroying the Imparats public image to allow for massive long term profits. He is arguably one of the most dangerous people in the galaxy. "Sometimes the bad guys win"
Note (more like a rant): Wanefield didn't run on a "Kill Democracy and Steal Your Tax Dollars" platform. He ran on a "Fix the Roads and Clean Up the Streets" platform. To the average galactic observer, the Imparat just looks like a shiny, efficient right wing party with good PR. Unless your nation's intelligence agency is psychic, you have zero justification for a denunciation. Sit back and watch the democracy dissolve like the rest of us. NOW why can't you spy on Voidia? BROTHA SPYING ON VOIDIA? THE NOTORIOUSLY WELL ARMED AND SECRET NATION IN THE GALAXY? ATP Voidia is probably well known in both the CBMV and PU for its freakish secrecy (helped by the Margiold in them along with intense indoctrination). Like what are you planning to do go into the survellinace state watch the weird election? THATS RIGHT! ITS BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. Your intelligence agency is not omniscient. That is final. Rant 2: Speaking of espionage you guys have to actually understand how this stuff works ;-; Some people seem to treat espionage like it's a magic spell: "I send spies." Problem solved apparently now you know the enemies battle plans and stuff. As a comparison: let's say you tried to do this with Voidia. I have already established that Voidia is a highly paranoid nation. That already makes infiltrating difficult. It is also loaded with surveillance and supported by a culture that strongly discourages dissent and information leaks. And people are like: "Yeah my agent Steve is gonna uncover the conspiracy." Steve is NOT making it past customs. If you plan on spying on another nation and doing espionage at least actually study it before going "yeah I send like 10 of my 'Super spies'"
