Trigger warning: small mentions of chemotherapy, and depressive episodes - To summarize the stuff that Qwel has done, she has manipulated someone during chemotherapy which made them go through depressive episodes. She knew about Roxs doings before she demoted him, and much worse. Rox manipulated minors, Gr))med them and more, people leaked screenshots and allegations that Qwel was aware of inappropriate behavior by Rox BEFORE he was fired. recently a doc has been posted about a minor who worked for qwel in the earlier development of Dandy's world, the doc states they weren't fired from their work but they stepped down due to health complications. the doc says "I originally met Qwel when she was 18 back in 2023 when I was doing chemotherapy for my cancer. We have been friends since then from a RP server I run. Back then when Flavor Frenzy was her only project, she had a lot more free time and worked as my moderator. We grew close very quickly and eventually she told me about the situation with RoxSerpent mostly over voice calls. The story they told me was as follows: “RoxSerpent did something stupid when he was a child. People from his past refused to let it die down. He felt manipulated to do these actions. He did some bad things but grew from it." The RoxSerpent I knew was very kind for a while and would vent to me about issues he had going on in regards to “cancel culture”. He would play into things that Qwelver told him in secrecy about me which I felt he exploited to get closer to me." this is clearly disgusting as it is, and the behavior Rox displayed among everyone who has been affected by him is unbelievable.. the doc states Rox knew the minor had cancer, and knew their health was declining at rapid pace. the doc says "I would confine myself to Qwel and Rox on calls with others that I wasn’t doing well. I would get lighthearted mentions of “you can quit when you’d like,” followed often by backhanded mentions of “but we just wouldn’t be able to do well without you, Joji!” I was told by them to take frequent breaks. I obliged and continued to work volunteer work strictly because of how much I cared for the community and those I looked out for. RoxSerpent was fired shortly after the peak of it all in October of 2024 and we were all disgusted" after Rox got fired, Qwel moved quickly to find somebody new to fill Rox's shoes. the doc says "During the Rox situation, he gr))med me. He would trigger me while I was undergoing chemo and then try to soothe me over it." the doc also says "Many times on calls he would have abrupt mood swings and lash out at me or belittle me, most often in front of other friends. It was as if he was trying to lash me mentally and socially anytime I did something he didn’t like" later in the doc it also says "Qwel and Rox put it under the guise as if it were in my best interest, that if I speak up about my experience as a staffer that people would "leave us all alone". I agreed and got DOXXed, death threats and so much more." and this. is where she LIED. straight to our faces about it. "Qwel and Rox, would knowingly put me while I was going through chemo into a situation like that. But it absolutely destroyed me to hear that she knew about this for two months and lied to our faces about it.I had finally come to terms that Rox willingly and knowingly let me be stressed and unwell due to his selfishness and lack of care for my health or wellness, but Qwel? My best friend?" the doc says "Qwelver, you knew that near the end of that year it was the worst my health had ever been. I’ve come to peace with RoxSerpent being a disgusting person who exploited my health. But you not only willingly allowed him around us, the staff, but around your community of children and young, impressionable minds for two additional months? You knew what he did in August and only came out about it when you absolutely had to. I am revolted." a lot of people like to argue that qwel and rox were 'ALSO' both minors when this all started, the manipulating, gr))ming and more. but that isn't true and qwel was 21 going on 22 and Rox was about a year older, as the doc states "Qwel was not a minor two years ago. I don’t know who started this infantizing of her, but she is 21 going on 22 within the month of this being written. Rox is about a year older than her. Infantizing her in regards to keeping a danger to children when she would’ve been 19/20 and he would’ve been 20/21 at the time is absolutely abhorrent." the doc gives further information about getting gr))med, and it is NOT okay in any situation, "I understand people can be gr))med and manipulated, conditioned and the like. I am a victim of that as well in regards to this situation because RoxSerpent was gr))ming me and manipulating me and the staff team. To assume she is her online persona is parasocial and disingenuous to how someone like myself or victims who knew her would have experienced being around her and I ask you all to understand that. That being said, to carry on with my point: Qwel and Rox would also always downplay anyone opposing them, even calling them unreliable sources in multiple instances--she has a history of downplaying or discrediting things and what she portrays herself publicly isn’t how she actually is" after looking through more posts of this I came across one comment saying "Even worse than that, While she was on a call with her irl friend I believe, they where tram dumping to qwelver and she was recording the whole call without her friend’s consent, then she showed the call video to some of her other friend AND THEY.LAUGHED.ABOUT IT. I used to think qwelver was this cool indie game creator but she’s actually TERRIBLE" Now, we all make mistakes but this is far more than just a mistake you can say "oops" to and walk away from , I say we need a real explanation to all of this, Qwel having her own youtube channel is well aware she can say something about it but she isn't, at least not yet. she's been posting animations to popularize her merch and dandy's world in general, which is fine that's what most people do when you have a big game, but this is NOT something that you can just ignore. and we all used to think she was some amazing dev. oh how the times have. changed. as a minor myself, I KNOW this is far from acceptable and it will take a LOT to regain trust, but manipulating, gr))ming, DOXXing? a MINOR who has health problems? that IS NEVER okay, NONE of that is okay. where have we COME in life to just--be this inappropriate and downright evil? I'll most likely be taking a break from dandy's world so this has time to figure it's self the hell out. in advanced im sorry this is a lot to read, there is plently more information in a doc but scratch won't let me link it, but I hope this situation gets better and the drama eases, I also hope qwel posts a video about it. feel free to reach out and tell me if qwel does post a video about it :) In general the game itself is really fun still, if i was planning on playing it still I would only play it for the game and NOT support the creators behind it, like I did for forsaken because the devs of it are..uh..something else bro..but for now I'm fine with taking a break because of animal hospital and everything else! edit: hey everyone! the drama is still happening but I would like to add something, Qwel recently in the blushcrunch server responded to all the drama but it really says nothing about the main reason I made this project. she kept saying stuff about her trauma as an excuse to run away from this whole mess. now of course people from the fandom itself are furious at her response and aren't taking it as something you can simply say sorry to and walk away from. which I completely understand.
