========================================== LORE (In Players POV): Me and my best friend Michael had a YouTube channel where we explored abandoned houses. We had visited dozens of places before. Old schools, forgotten barns, abandoned factories, and houses that looked like nobody had stepped inside for years. We loved the excitement of exploring places most people were too scared to enter. Every video was the same. Grab the cameras. Find an abandoned place. Explore it. Upload the footage. But today was different. Today went wrong. We had found an abandoned house deep in the woods. It was larger than most places we had explored before. The windows were broken, vines climbed the walls, and the front door hung slightly open. It looked creepy, but that only made it more exciting for a YouTube video. We started recording and entered the house. Inside was dark and dusty. Furniture covered in sheets sat untouched. Floorboards creaked with every step we took. The deeper we explored, the stranger the house felt. There was a weird feeling in the air, like someone was watching us. Still, we kept filming. We searched room after room, making jokes and talking to the camera. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. After a while, I started getting hungry. "I'll be right back," I said before heading outside to grab a snack from my backpack. Michael stayed inside recording. I sat down near the front of the house and started eating. Everything seemed normal. For a few minutes. Then I heard it. A scream. A loud, horrifying scream coming from inside the house. Michael. I immediately stood up. "Michael?" I shouted. No response. Then another scream echoed through the house. Louder. More desperate. My heart began pounding. "Michael, are you okay?!" I yelled. Silence. The woods became completely still. No more screaming. No footsteps. No sounds. Nothing. I stood frozen, staring at the house. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. I called out again. "Michael?!" No answer. The realization slowly hit me. Michael wasn't answering because he couldn't. He was dead. Something inside that house had killed him. Fear rushed through my body. Every instinct told me to run, but I couldn't stop staring at the dark doorway leading back inside. Tears filled my eyes as the truth settled in. My best friend was gone. The friend I had explored countless places with. The friend who helped build our YouTube channel. The friend who had always been there. Gone. I clenched my fists and stared into the darkness of the abandoned house. Then I made a promise. A promise I would never break. "I will avenge you, Michael." Unknown to me, hidden somewhere inside the house, a masked killer known only as Ghostface watched from the shadows. And this was only the beginning. Michael's death was not the end of the story. It was the start of my revenge. ========================================== CREDITS: DragonStudio - Phone Ringing Freesound_community - Phone hang up RageCore29 - Blood Splatter Explode SlimeyFox - Slowcore mechanism Van_Wiese - Techno Beat Loop tithuh - Blood the screaming Freesound_community - Shotgun firing Soundboard - what is your favorite scary movie? - Game design - Graphics - SFX - Lore - Studio - Coding ========================================== a small percentage of people may experience seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain light patterns or flashing lights while playing video games.
