Hey, hope you enjoy! :3 Maple came back in when the sky was dark. I was half asleep when she came in. Suddenly, a howling woke me up. "What was that?" I said, yawning. "Ashen," she muttered. "Come with me," Maple said, "By the way, what's your name?" "Aspen," I replied. We headed out into the dark forest. I started to fall asleep a little, but a sudden growling woke me up. I saw a girl with wolf ears and tail. "who are you?" She asked suspiciously. "My name is Maple, and I assume you are Ashen," Maple replied coolly. "How do you know my name?" Ashen asked, growling through her teeth. "I've heard rumors," Maple said. "You don't have any friends, do you?" Ashen said, only half joking. I stepped in front of Maple. "I'm her friend," I said quietly. "Oh yay," she said sarcastically, "congratulations." I glared at her. "Okay look, I don't have time for this," Ashen sighed, "I have to find someplace to sleep." "You can stay with us," I offered. Maple looked at me with a death stare. "OK, if I have to," We all headed to Maple's cave. I sat down, wincing. All that walking had worn out my injured leg. I closed my eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
