At around 5:32P.M Eastern Time, a federal helicopter conducting reconnaissance near Xī’wèi was struck by an anti-air system operated by UoMNA forces. The aircraft's pilots mounted a delayed response (likely suffering from sleep deprivation), and used their flares long after an acceptable window had passed. This led to the helicopter being struck in the Pylon along with suffering damage on the rotors themselves. The aircraft hit the ground, with the flight deck being "crunched" into the rest of the airframe. Taking the lives of both pilots, the federal governments have not spoken of this incident thus far. However the UoMNA has announced this event to be, "An example of soviet hubris and a sign that the bear is not as powerful as it claims"
