After Korea not making a move for a few years (helping Jeju regain its economy via smuggling for trade and etc) the 5th National Assembly passed the Conscription Act. Based like the Korean Constitution of Military Service, all abled body men at the age of 18 must join Military Service (21 months army, 18 months navy, and 19 months Air Force). Purposefully attempting to bypass Military Service will result in up to 5 years in prison. “The only way that threatens our independence is the KoKA.
