In the flooded lands of China, a rather interesting predator dives to hunt. The golden panda (Ailurus notter) is a descendant of the red panda, which made a big recovery after the extinction of humans. The extinction of humans also gave rise to a new habitat: the flooded highlands. The flooded highlands are scattered with a new species of bamboo. Well, to be more precise, two new species of bamboo: the reed bamboo (in the foreground) and the coastal bamboo (in the background) Golden pandas have filled a new niche of eating clams, similarly to otters. Besides this, their diet also consists of aquatic plants, like the reed bamboo; and small critters, like small reptiles and crustaceans. While golden pandas spend most of their day near deltas and seas, they're still able to climb. Most importantly, they use their climbing to their advantage. To hunt, golden pandas climb high into the trees hanging above the sea, where it then jumps down into the water, where it reaches great depths. This helps it get more tasty clams to feed on! Feed well indeed!
@The_Everything_Topic and @SeaCheesez for some of the concepting for this animal :D
