Chapter Eight: New Roommate LINK’S POV: The doorbell rang and I went to open it. I opened the door and saw Zelda. I smiled, "Hey, I thought you had work." Zelda laughed a bit. "Did your captain force you to stop?" I sighed, raising my brow. "Yeah, I've been working too-" Zelda yawned and looked sleepy. "S-sorry, haven't been getting good sleep," she muttered, shaking her head. I folded my arms. "Why?" I asked. "J-just been working on the case." she replied, laughing a bit. I rolled my eyes. "Then why did you come here and not home?" I asked. She rubbed her eyes and bit her lip. "I got evicted," she whispered. She yawned and nodded her head sleepy. "Hey! be careful, you'll get hurt," I whispered, reaching my arm out. She grabbed my arm and her head hit my shoulder. I looked at her, she was asleep. ZELDA'S POV: I woke up and realized I was in someone's apartment. "You're awake, you've been asleep almost all day," Link's voice rang behind me. I spun around and stumbled. "Hey! Be careful!" he yelled out, catching me. My face got red. "S-sorry!" I yelped, turning away. He laughed, "It's fine, but since you don't have a place to stay...you could stay here. you could stay in the guest room." I raised my brow. "I've gotta get my stuff first, I dropped everything off at work," I sighed, walking towards the door. "Alright, I'll drive you! My car is big enough to fit all your stuff," Link suggested. I turned towards him and replied, "Alright, let's go!" We got to his car and began driving to the station. "So...how you doing?" I asked, glancing at Link. "Good, why do you ask?" he chuckled smiling a bit. I got red and looked away. I felt Link grab my hand and he said, "Sorry, it just, my Mom asks me that everyday since I got discharged. But I'm doing well, she's also asked about you...about how we met. So, I think we've gotta come up with a good cover story." I nodded and blushed hard as I looked out the window.
