Chapter Nine: Bad Boss LINK’S POV: I load three boxes into my car and Zelda was talking with someone. "So! You must be Link! Zelda's fiancé. I'm her boss!" someone said, from behind me. I turned and saw a man in an FBI jacket. "Hey, nice to met you," I replied, putting my hands in my pockets. "So, you're with the police department. you liking it there?" he asked, with a small laugh. "If you're asking if I wanna work here. I'm not going to. Plus you've already got a great, top of the class agent," I replied, rolling my eyes. "W-what?! Who do you know that's that skilled?!" he laughed. I rolled my eyes and glanced at Zelda, she was walking back inside. "Zelda, she's smart, strong, willing to work," I smiled. He laughed, "Seriously?! Her? Yeah, she's been working hard but she's just a kid, the only reason I put her on this mission is so it'd be too hard for her and so she'd quit!" I clenched my fist and was shocked at his words. "Well then you don't know her. She won't quit, goodbye," I glared, watching him leave. I turned back and said, "And she's not a kid, she's young, but not a kid. So stop treating her like one!" He laughed and said, "You've got fire, you should re-think that offer." "Sorry sir, but you wouldn't let me," I smirked, "I'm too young." He clenched his fist and muttered something. I got in the car and Zelda was in the passenger seat, she was wiping her face. "You okay?" I asked, turning the car on. She nodded and turned away. "Z?" I asked, confused. "I-I'm fine!" she mumbled, hiding her face in her sleeve. I nodded, not wanting to intrude. We got home and I brought everything to the guest room. "Do you want my help unpacking?" I asked, glancing at her. "N-no, it's fine, thank you though," she smiled. I nodded and went to make dinner. Halfway through making dinner I heard a crash. I rushed over and saw Zelda on the floor surrounded by board games. She looked at me and burst out laughing. "W-what?! Are you okay?" I asked, confused, helping her up. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine! It's just that, your wearing that apron!" she laughed. I raised my brow, confused. "What's bad about that?" I asked. "Nothing it's just that it's got little Koroks on it, wearing tiny aprons! I just didn't think you'd wear something, that cute!" Zelda replied, laughing. I rolled my eyes and said, "No, dinner for you!" "Hey, come on I was being funny," she sighed, grabbing my arm. I smiled, "Yeah, I know. I'll help you clean up after dinner." She nodded and I went to finish dinner.
