- Will o' Wisp Acres Updates - - Update 56 | Trail Ride with Comet - - - - Today was a great sunny day to take Comet out for a hack on our trail here at Will o' Wisp Acres. Comet is one of our most loved stallions, and has been with us for years! He's absolutely gorgeous, and when he's not out here on a relaxing trail he's an amazing hunter jumper. Comet has always been a little flighty around water no matter how much we try to desensitise him to it, so I was a little worried when it came to the first river crossing, especially since it flows between two relatively steep hills. However, he must've been in a good mood today because he only required a bit of urging on to cross it perfectly! Once we descended into the forest I chose to just keep us at a walk, as it's always good for a fast-paced horse like Comet to slow down every once in a while and just breathe everything in. I did let him jump a log that had fallen over the path at a trot, but afterwards it was just relaxing for the entire way. He did get a little restless at some points especially when we were getting much closer to home, as sometimes we have galloped once we passed that first river crossing. At once stage he was full on prancing but I insisted that we kept the pace we had been at. To no surprise, as soon as he was let back out into the pasture he had a bit of a run around, but today was still a good opportunity to keep his patience and obedience fresh. Comet might be a silly stallion at times but he'll still always do his best to take care of his rider. - - - Comet: @CloudyEcho Rider Base: @MythtopianPegasus Tack, Backgrounds & Rider Adjustments: @Stxrry-Nightz- - - -
