Chapter one J spots something outside. Its a drone, or something in a spacesuit, currently running. It looked oddly familiar. J blinked, watching it with curiosity. Then it hit her. "TESSA!!" She yelled, immediately rushing over to her. "J.. Its N and V. They've gone rogue. They tried to kill me." Tessa exclaimed, her breath unsteady. "Ill dismantle them piece by piece for this." J says. She was in disbelief. Her squad mates? More like traitors. Tessa grips J's arm to get back up on her feet. Her grip has so much force J's plating dents. "J, don't leave me out here." Tessa said, her voice hitched. J's eyes widened a bit. Adrenaline, J logged, clearing any error messages. Shes just panicked. Anyone would know that. "Don't worry, Tessa. I won't." J said softly. J escorts her back to the pod, a little suspicious. She brushed it off eventually. Chapter 2 Once J returns to the landing pod, she firmly forces Tessa to sit down. "I'm going to check how you're doing." J says. She scanned to check Tessa's vitals. She expected the fragile flutter of a scared human's heart. There was no heartbeat. Just silence. "Oh, that?" Tessa says, as if she had sensed J's stillness, "Its just my space suits internal life support is a little glitched. Don't worry about it, J." Every survival coding in J's protocol was telling her that humans needed a pulse to survive. But this is Tessa, J told herself, she knows her suit more than I do. "It's okay. I can fix it later." J said, keeping calm. Chapter 3 Tessa leaned back against the wall, her helmet tilting slightly. "J.. N and V are compromised. I need you to handle them. Disarm them. Bring me back their cores so I can.. evaluate them." J hesitated for a moment, a little shocked. "Consider it done, boss." "Good. Don't let them explain themselves. They will lie to you. Do not believe them." Tessa said to J. J's mind was racing. But the objective was clear. She tried to track their footprints in the snow. She picked up an oil trail. At least she thought it was. It wasn't drone oil. It was human blood. This was the exact path Tessa had crawled through. A human bleeding this much- and this badly decayed- should have bled out hours ago. She hesitated for a moment, and then decided to return back to the pod. She had a few questions to ask. Chapter 4 (WORK IN PROGRESS, SORRY ITS TAKING LONG)
(Wrote chapters one and two at midnight sorry if they're bad and have no plot, it'll make more sense once I finish more chapters.)
