SOMEWHERE IN CHAPTER 5- DEAR AURORA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY The party was no quiet. Kings and Queens danced in the ballroom as the princesses and princes talked. Suddenly, a group of princes came to the girls. “Who is Aurora among you?” A boy asked “You don’t even know who Aurora is?!” Jocelyn gasped “I am Aurora.” Karina joked “Dear Aurora, Happy birthday!” the boy knelt down on his knees and kissed Karina’s hand. She covered her mouth with her other hand. The real Aurora watched and said: “That’s Karina, whoever-you-are.” She snapped The boy went through five stages of shock, and stood, brushed Karina’s hand, who went delusional. He knelt again, the girls, except Karina and Aurora, giggled. “Don’t!” Aurora said “Anyways,” he said while standing up “I’m Eric, Happy birthday to the real Aurora.” He said while giving a box, which had a ring made of ruby. “Aww….” Catherine swinged her arms “You want to dance?” Karina asked to Eric “Sure thing!” Eric forwarded his hand, and they went to the ballroom “That’s adorable!” Jocelyn said “That’s gross.” Aurora continued “That’s how love starts.” Catherine, murmured Some other boys approached them; Jocelyn went in the ballroom with Aaron. Now, only Aurora and Catherine were standing alone. These things disgusted them. “I’ll- y’know, go in the ballroom and, see…If Karina is really dancing… Or doing what I’m thinking.” Catherine said, and ran before Aurora could say a word. “Maybe I should go, too.” She thought, as she opened the doors after Catherine. Inside, classical music filled the air while Catherine’s eyes searched for Jocelyn and Karina in the crowd. “Cathe-“ Aurora said, before patting Catherine from the back. “Oh, you really came!” She jumped. Aurora’s eyes struck on Karina and Eric, they were too close, too much close. Catherine tried to figure out where Aurora was looking, and she found out; Karina really paired up. Karina waved at them, as she continued spinning in circles. Suddenly, the music changed and became fast. Everyone danced and spun fast, two pairs grouped and changed partners every two minutes. Aurora pointed at Celestia and Chryst, who were enjoying the moment of their lives. “Look at our parents!” Aurora pointed, as Catherine looks, she began laughing. “They can dance like that?” she laughed. In the end, the music changed, yet again, it was classical, but very complex. Many kings and queens gave up as they couldn’t keep up. Then, from one corner, someone hit the wine glass gently with a spoon, everyone looked behind them- It was Celestia. “May I introduce a new challenge?” she smirked, while the waitress took away the wine glass and the spoon. “As all the fellow kings and queens have joined us to celebrate this occasion of our daughter, Aurora Luna Addams’s fourteenth birthday. I, Celestia Joanne Addams, queen and wife of Chryst Addams; well, I never cared to know the middle name,” there were giggles, “I think, that if we spice up things a bit- a challenge where we, and I mean even the princesses and princes, would be split into groups of two, and would try to keep up with the fast, changing music. Every dance move shall be unique. And, we would even have to win- you can give up if you want to. The winner would be prized a possession of ours. No, not Aurora.” Aurora sighed in relieve. The castle’s staff brought out a bowl full of chits. One by one, pairs began to be made, Aurora was paired with Eric; Karina was shocked- she had been paired with an older queen. Jocelyn was paired with a girl her age. Catherine had been paired with her mother. Celestia had been paired with Jocelyn’s father- who was Aurora’s distant uncle. Chryst was paired with a younger princess. The music started, slow, Karina kept staring at Aurora, who wasn’t enjoying being paired up with Eric. He was happy to paired with Aurora; he kept speaking: “Isn’t the moon pretty?” he said “You notice things at the wrong time and place.” Aurora groaned “I noticed you.” He spoke Aurora scoffed. “Did you?” she snapped Eric smirked. Then, the music became faster, younger pairs gave up. And then, faster, and faster. Even the adults left, Catherine and Jocelyn gave up. In the end, the music was so fast, only people who actually knew how to dance were left- Eric, Aurora, Karina and Lady Dorothy (Who was paired up with Karina). People rooted for them, Karina was jealous of Aurora, who danced better than her. She pulled moves that could’ve caused serious injuries. Yet, at one time, Karina fell. The music stopped. Eric and Aurora won. Aurora jumped excitedly, they clapped their hands. Karina rolled her eyes, she wasn’t happy. GIMME CREDITS FOR MY WORK THAT INCLUDES SPRITE AND STORY AND EVEN THE BOOK'S TITLE!!
