▶ THE SYSTEM: The Folkvangr system (Alterra Corp. system ID 6245) is a single-star system with 3 planets. The entire system is within the Folkvangr Psionic Rift. Folkvangr-1 - uninhabitable rocky (too hot to support life) Sanctuary - habitable rocky (inhabited) Folkvangr-3 - gas planet (no surface, too cold to support life) ▶ FOLKVANGR: Folkvangr is a blue star within the Folkvangr Psionic Rift. ▶ SANCTUARY: Sanctuary is an approximately Earth-sized rocky planet. It is inhabited by an unnamed species of psionically attuned humanoids. The planet gets very little sunlight compared to Earth, but temperatures are similar. Eclipses are long and regular, lasting up to 2 Alterra Standard weeks. Cave systems are common on most of the planet. Due to the lack of natural sunlight, plants and animals are often biolumiescent. The plants are also often tinted blue. Many plants on Sanctuary posess potent healing properties. Giant mushrooms grow in most areas, particularly at lower altitudes. The terrain is rough, with mountains being common. Despite what this would suggest, the planet seems to experience little to no tectonic movement. Most water also posesses healing properties, although this is not as noticeable as in the plants. Hot springs and other geographic features are abundant. Sanctuary has no volcanoes.
SOS is a companion series to a fanfic I'm working on, it basically just explains the lore of Sanctuary (one of the planets) Alterra Standard days/weeks/etc are the same length as on Earth.
