Controlly isn't a very jealous person but he doesn't like that Hotdog has such a rich social life. Controlly can't push him to his limit, can't act too harshly without the risk of him telling his friends. If he goes too far, maybe Hotdog will end their relationship–he has plenty of other people to spend his time with. So Controlly decides that maybe he's better off without his friends: when Pizza is eliminated, Controlly demands more and more time to be spent with Hotdog alone, so that he grows distant from his other friends; then he involves him in a shady conspiracy that he, under no circumstances, can tell other people about. In the end, the only person he can turn to is the one who has caused his isolation in the first place.
