chapter 5 was PEAK

I played deltarune chapter 5 as soon as it came and it’s now my new favorite chapter spoilers below, don’t scroll if you don’t want spoilers please im begging you. like seriously i spoil basically the entire chapter. I’ll write a non-spoiler review in the notes and credits as a mostly kralsei and suselle fan I was FED with this chapter in the scene with the hot springs I literally got up and started jumping up and down when ralsei said his happy ending was with kris. I was very tempted to pick the “drink all the water in the pool” option to see what happened but I’ll leave that for my secret boss save (which I haven’t beaten by the way so I’d appreciate no spoilers for me on that end… unless you wanna tell me where the puzzles are.. I don’t want to find them myself…..) and Susie and noelle were so wholesome in this chapter??? the entire festival section was so adorable ahhhhh I found it funny how literally every darkner (even the new ones) was giving Susie relationship advice this chapter also had a really cool like.. gimmick?? is that what it’d be called?? with the feather I really liked those sections it also defied a lot of my theories for what was gonna happen. I’m also just a very bad theorist but hey. the weird route was traumatizing ok moving on to the individual characters because I have a lot to say about them Susie was very yuri I liked her in this chapter Noelle was very yuri and I felt very bad for her in the weird route I felt bad for ralsei as usual. also I may be starting to believe trans Ralsei theory because I don’t think Toby would make a scene where Flowery calls him “princess” and he gets all flustered for no reason. but Toby is Toby who knows maybe that wasn’t relevant to the plot at ALL. by the way I did have a bit more to say about ralsei but the scratch filter started sliming me out for some reason. all I have to say about Rudy is I hope he doesn’t die. I really like Rudy. please don’t do this to me Toby Asgore was actually how I expected him to act in this chapter. well aside from his apology at the end I wasn’t expecting that. I’m glad he was able to see the errors of his ways and realize he pushed his family away for essentially no reason. now those FREAKING THEORISTS can get off his back. as you can probably guess I didn’t like the Asgore will make a dark fountain theory. and it didn’t happen so ha. ALSO HE SAID THE THING HE SAID THE THING HE SAID “someone has to take care of the flowers” NEAR THE END I have mixed feelings about Flowery. I love him and he’s a cool character but at the same time I wanted to brutally murder him during some moments. but then the knight did that for me I guess?? also when I saw his name I got up and started jumping up and down. as I did so many times during this chapter. Yellow was really cool I liked him. I would say more but this is scratch and a lot of his scenes were exaggeratedly dark so um. yeah. also his scenes with Blue were cute i like these two I liked Aqua too she was so silly and Orange I just liked the soul flowers in general and seeing how their undertale armor, weapons, and counterparts came into play with their designs and personalities floradinn is one of my favorite enemies of all time I really really like floradinn I almost forgot about ice cream guy.. I like ice cream guy he did NOT deserve to get rejected like that ok I think that’s about all I have to say until I do the secret boss battle… feel free to comment any opinions you have, just try to keep as little spoilers as possible for anyone who hasn’t played it yet
