space/click The Long Range Interplanetary Logistical System or LRILS is a heavy orbitally constructed class of "Tugs", made to haul heavy/large loads into the orbits of other planets, or to the "Gargantua" orbital shipyard. Production began in 2029 as the LRICV neared completion, with 8 currently in service. The LRILS is mostly autonomous and is piloted by the "Voyager" control system. Voyager is a narrow, pre-programmed AI which is only capable of adapting to certain pre set events. Along with this, LRILS units receive near constant input from mission control to correct mistakes or update objectives. The overall physical structure of an LRILS resembles that of the LRICV. with a modular spine and several modules dedicated to different functions. along with this it has a longer more "skeletal" spine section meant to hold cargo modules. At the front, a shield structure akin (although with four layers instead of two) to the LRICV's protects the vehicle from micro impacts (although they pose a less significant risk due to LRILS units traveling at much slower speeds). stats: length: 450m (186m of this is empty space and 130m of this is empty unless occupied by cargo). thermal management: four radiators in front the engines, each has around 160m of empty space used to sperate them from the main vehicle, and around 1,280sqm of used space. Power source: fission reactor propulsion: VASIMR propulsion system Earth - Serenara travel time: 2.5mo top speed: 125km/s crew: none cost per unit: 45B yearly production: 2
I'll also make a project about Gargantua later. also, Ill draw the cargo modules later too
