Chapter Ten: Friendly Visit ZELDA’S POV: I sat across from Link, playing with the food he'd made. "Not hungry?" he asked, glancing at me. "N-no it's not the food, the food is great, it's just something my boss said," I replied. "W-what'd he say?" Link asked, putting his fork down. I laugh a bit and whispered, "It's nothing really." Link shook his head. "Don't listen to him. He doesn't know what he's saying," he whispered, glancing at me. I smiled. "Thanks." he nodded, "Of course." I looked at Link and my heart fluttered. 'Crap!' I thought, 'No! No! No, this is temporary!' "Hey, uh, Z...are you free Friday?" Link asked, glancing up at me. "Y-yeah, I get off work at 6:00. Why?" I asked, trying not to get red. "I-I was wondering if you'd like to, uh, go to a, well...." Link stuttered. He sighed and quickly said, "Would you like to go to a movie and dinner Friday, with me?" His face was red and he was looking down at his feet. I smiled and hesitantly grabbed his hand. "Yeah, that sounds...awesome." We kept eating and my hand was still on his, he didn't pull away he just gently moved his finger across my hand. I stopped myself from blushing as I finished eating. Link stood up and put his plate away. "I'll start cleaning up the board games," he smiled, walking towards the mess of games. I nodded and went to put my dish away. After I cleaned up and went to help Link. I walked in a all the games were put away. "W-well I guess it doesn't take long to clean up some spilled games, huh?" he laughed. I nodded and the doorbell rang. Link raised his brow. "I'm expecting no one, you?" he asked, looking at me. "No, I haven't told anyone of my current living situation. So they wouldn't know I'd be here," I replied. He nodded and pulled out his gun. "W-what?! Did you have that at dinner?" I whispered. He nodded, "Yeah, you never know when you might get jumped." I rolled my eyes and Link looked through the peephole of the door. "Who is it?" I asked. "My Mom, she didn't tell me she was coming over!" he whispered, harshly. I rolled my eyes, "Well, this is what I was trained for." "W-what?! What do you mean by that? You can't hurt my Mother!" Link whispered. "No, no, I mean I was trained to pretend, like an actor. I'm gonna pretend to be your actually fiancée," I laughed, rolling my eyes, "Now open the door, you don't wanna be rude, and put the gun away, Pretty Boy." Link nodded and put the gun away, as I started on the dishes. "Oh, here slip this on!" Link whispered, throwing me a ring. I slipped it on and he opened the door. "Mom, what brings you here?" Link asked, as the door was closed. "Oh, can I not say hi to my boy?" she smiled at Link. Link rubbed his neck in embarrassment and I noticed something. Link's Mom seemed nervous, more nervous then a normal person would be meeting their sons fiancée. "Link! Get down!" I yelled, tacking him to the ground. We fell to the floor and gun shots were fired, Link's Mom hid behind the wall. "Who is that?!" I yelled to Link's Mom. She was sobbing now. "He said he'd hurt Aryll, I'm sorry," she sobbed. I looked around and saw my gun, I grabbed it and the door opened. "Don't move or I'll shoot!" Ganon's voice echoed. I turned and he had Aryll to gun point. Link stood and put his hands. "Let her go. Whatever you want, I'll listen," he whispered, glancing at me. "Put the gun down," he panted looking at me. Link nodded and I set the gun down. "What do you want?" Link asked. He frantically looked around and smirked as he looked at me. "Z. You're talented, save him," he smirked shooting his gun. The bullet flew towards Link and I moved quickly, I felt impact and Link put his arms around me. "What do you want with Aryll!" Link yelled, "Why'd you have to shoot?!" Ganon laughed wildly and I heard him shoot again. "Your choice, your lover, or your sister, the bullets are poison. No matter where they hit the poison will head to the heart!" he laughed. I turned around and faced Ganon. "W-what? How are you not effected?!" he muttered as I saw Aryll looking bad and her eyes already looking fogging. "What do you want with us?" I asked, pointing my gun at him. He dropped Aryll and ran. I ran to the door and shot at him as he ran away. "You can't run forever! I'll find you!" I yelled, as he stumbled. I turned around and saw Aryll, she was pale, dying.
