It took me a while to find but it was worth it. Will be updating as soon as I get some info
Credit @ReallySopa for the opinions on the "Song Maker", and thanks @Dhdfuhrifi for helping me Credit @Phoqus and @Enthrallist for most of the music, others I got from NCS and @TheFatRat Opinions (From @ReallySopa): "Wow, let me tell you, this is a crazy feature for Scratch and I think this is probably another Game-Changer for Scratch! This is actually a pretty-impressed feature. It brings a lot of musical features that Scratch never had before. This is more like a proper MIDI Song Maker. These bunch of features are the huge upgrades for composing musics on Scratch! aww-cat emoji As I can see, the Scratch Team really has handled the AI features very well, they made AI optional (you can use AI whenever), on-device (only runs locally on your device) and also remixable (you can edit it with the Song Editor). However, one thing that I don't really like about these AI features are about their performances. These AI features, especially Gemma 4 AI, you have to download it, but it has 2 GB size, and it took you over 10 seconds and some lags in the browser. gobo emoji But, this would be a huge brick wall for low-end devices, especially school computers and Chromebooks that are used for educational purposes. So, I think they could be better if the Scratch Team improves them by making their file size much smaller and runs faster, especially in the browser. cat emoji Anyway, these are the suggestions for the Song Maker that I think these would help for both everyone that use AI or not: 1. More Beginner-friendly; 2. Interactive Tutorials; 3. Better AI Explanations; 4. Optimize Performance; 5. AI Generation Controls. meow emoji 2. Add tutorials for beginners to teach them how to create a melody in this Song Editor, so they can understand how to use it; 3. Instead of just saying "Generate A Melody", you can make AI more interactive for users like "Remix it!" or "Change some notes!". 4. The important suggestion, this would be good for the people that uses low-end devices. I think a lower-size AI model that runs on smaller RAMs could be better for them. Especially when running the AI model in the browser. meow emoji 5. It'd be more editable when generating a song, for examples: Adding some optional settings like Song Length, Effects, Instruments, etc. cat emoji Alright, that's it, these are my honest opinions for the Song Maker. Overall, I think this is a very cool feature for everyone on Scratch and it'd be cool for composing musics and more! If it's more beginner-friendly and it runs faster for low-end devices, then that would be one of the best features that are planning to be added in Scratch's history! Thank you! aww-cat emoji Just remember: These features are still in WIP. They're not the final product and are subject to be changed anytime. Especially AI features, the Scratch Team is also aware of adding these features on AI. So, don't worry! Let's just wait and see! meow emoji"
