Now thanks to him, they both are in Quahog and has their chance to survive. 2. Pico is brutally murdered by BF and is fully deteriorated. Not to mention that he got fully erased. 3. Sky appeared as a fallen corrupted angel spirit now. Also, during some of the side songs in the future, she has to make GF fight for her freedom to save BF, otherwise he would be gone forever... 4. BF would be hard to save due to being Patient 0.2, and also the thing is that Sky can be the only person to help out when the survivors try to save him.
