========= SR SUPER SODA SEGMENT ========= entry to the @ScratchRunning Game Jam 2026 by @Huckleberry256 Suddenly, reports flood in of a condiment invasion: dipping sauces begin a quest to conquer the world. What better solution to this cataclysmic problem than soda? Full instructions in the project, but for reference: [WASD]/[arrows] movement down direction + side direction = dash (short movement with invincibility) [H] primary attack (press or hold) [J] special attack [K] ultimate attack [L] summon assist This game is based on my favorite SRCast bit ever: the Heinz Remix from episode 45. Back in 2023/2024, this clip was the basis for my SRCast Animated entry, and the idea of sauces trying to take over the world has stuck with me ever since. The idea behind this game is that a rogue Remix machine has seized control of the Heinz company and has established plans for global sauce dominion! And the Wild West theme for the first level? Dunno where that idea came from but I just rolled with it I had a LOT of fun making this! I came up with the idea for a game like this a little bit ago but never had the chance to invest time into it. Then comes along an SR Game Jam out of the blue, and with the power of deadline motivation, here's what I've made! I tried to challenge myself with art, animations, sound effects, quality, basically the whole thing, and while I didn't have time for all I'd imagined (in hindsight, my plans were very ambitious lol), I'm very proud of the result.
