Chapter Twelve: Zelda or Aryll ZELDA'S POV: I explained to the doctor about how I could help and he nodded. "Will need to do a blood test so come with me," he replied. I nodded and I was taken into a room where they did the test. They took the sample and I was led back to Link as I began to feel lightheaded. I coughed blood and stumbled to stay on my feet. 'Crap! Did the bullet actually cause damage?! Did my adrenaline levels keep me from feeling the pain?!' I thought, as the doctor called over other medical staff. I was taken into a room and heard Link's voice, "Will she be alright?!" "We aren't sure sir. We're taking her to the OR for emergency surgery," the doctor's voice echoed. LINK'S POV: Nurses stopped me from following Z into the operating room. I paced around and saw Mom in a chair beside our stuff. I walked up to her and she asked, "Where's Zelda?" "S-she's-" I crumped to the floor, "T-the bullet Ganon shot caused damage she's in the OR right now. Goddess two people I care for...could die. Darn it!" I whispered, sitting on the ground beside Mom. Hours past my mind trying to block out the worst outcome. A doctor walked up to us, his surgical cap in his hands, he was about to tell us news, bad news. "Good news is Zelda is alive but bad news is, if we have her help Aryll she could...will die. We have a doctor talking to her about the decision right now," he whispered, as I stood up. We when to Zelda's room and saw a doctor talking with her. "I'll do it," her voice rang. I rushed to her bedside and she smiled at me. "Hey," she whispered smiling a bit. "N-no! There's gotta be another way!" I cried, grabbing her hand. Zelda laugh a bit. "It was fun while it lasted Link, I'm glad I get to help your family. Thanks for everything, Pretty Boy," Zelda smiled as the doctors took her away to another room. I clenched my fist and anger filled me. Ganon's voice echoing in my head, 'Your choice, your lover, or your sister.' I sighed and whispered, "Hylia, what do I do?" Mom grabbed my hand and whispered, "It'll be okay. It'll be okay." We sat down and a calm voice filled my mind, "Nothing, do nothing." My anger disappeared and I felt calm. I just have to trust.
