Here are the things I got from the pride festival I attended :D The only things I got that were free were the purple bracelet, the “Defend Trans Healthcare” sign, the “Love with boundaries” pin, blue kitty figurine, blue seal figurine, and the aromantic stick (given by a bestie of mine <3 We both attended!!) Though it was tiring to walk around everywhere.. I had SO MUCH FUN!! There were so many swaggy people everywhere and I felt so welcomed there ^^ Saw an aromantic bench and I honestly felt seen. Yes, it’s just a simple painted bench.. but it made me feel happy though c: (Yk I HAD to sit on it teehee) Recently, I’ve been kinda down since I keep pondering about my parent’s reaction to me coming out as aromantic. It’s not like they’re homophobic/transphobic, they’re supportive of the LGBTQ+! However, I’m worried they’ll be too confused and dismissive about my identity. (As far as I can tell, they aren’t familiar with the terms Aromantic and Asexual). With that being said.. I’m able to get subtle aromantic items without feeling scared since they don’t seem to recognize the aro colors yet ^^’ Enough sapping around, I’m doing fine at the moment! I plan to come out to them when I’m living on my own with a stable job xpp Before I stop writing, I just wanna say this again… Happy Pride Month everyone! ❤️
