The divine beasts had been captured, and any attempt to re-take them was futile. Impa and Robbie were occupied, trying figure out a way to use the Sheikah Slate to hack into the guardians. Zelda was using every ounce of her wisdom in a valiant effort to hold back the inevitable evil awaiting everyone. After Hateno Village had been attacked, Daruk and Mipha had no strength left, and when the Gerudo had been invaded by the Yiga, Urbosa's energy was extremely depleted, and she was in great need of repairs for her Moonlight Scimitar. The Lizalfos infestation broke out in the mid-west, and even with the power of flight (and pride) on the Rito's side, Revali commanded they retreat. Now I- I the chosen 5th Champion and royal defender of Hyrule will stop at nothing to save Hyrule's crown jewel and dear princess. Every. life. left. must... be.... saved....... As I dove for the Korok, a guardian revved up its laser beam, and, not a moment too late, I snatched the Korok and thudded to the hard, ruined, dirt and avoided the bright blue beam. But out of the corner of my eye, I saw, a light, the light of my princess, slowly blink away as a lynel damaged my heel. With the last of my strength and courage, I charged toward the Great Plateau and shuddered as I made the excruciating climb up the cliff and witnessed the ongoing destruction of Kakariko. The last of the blood I could spare leaked out of my boot, and I surrendered myself to the blackness I could see, as I was on the brink of death. But I remembered one thing. That all these lives given to the cause of defeating ganon would be in vain if I stopped now. I trudged along the edge of the forest after climbing to the top and inched my way to a cave I felt was calling my name. My legs gave out as I entered the cave, and I could feel the arteries in my head pulsing. My hands gripped the gravel, and I pulled myself toward a blue, mystic tub. I desired to know what it was, but my curiosity didn't matter. I clambered into it and felt an agonizing pain in my whole body. The udder awe and wonder I felt at how I was alive dissipated when the only color I saw was black. I burned to know the outcome of this great Age of Calamity, and I felt I failed Zelda, but I could no longer think, and I fell into a great, deep, sleep, wondering if I'd ever wake up or see Zelda again. __________________________________________ Chapter 2: Sorry for the bad grammar!
