Certain factors affect this. Diplomatic rating with the tribute: -1% per point Personal kills: +3% per kill Other kills: -2% per kill Self injured: -40% Other injured: +30% There is a base 50% chance for each side to win an encounter. Certain factors affect this balance. A tribute cannot have less than a 5% chance to win in combat. Aggressor: +15% Lightly armed: +10% Heavily armed: +15% Previous kills: +5% per kill Initiative: +10% Some injuries: -20% Severe injuries: -40% Hungry: -10% Starving: -20% Thirsty: -10% Dehydrated: -20% Dying: -80%
