It was a terrible smell. It made Tatzelworm want to throw up. But this was it, she was in front of the capitol. The gray feline held in a gag as she looked up from the ground, waving to random cats; occasionally winking or smiling. She could get lost in this moment, if only adoring looks and praise would swamp her. She winked at a few cats she didn’t know, letting out a loud purr. “How are you, cats of the capitol?” She asked welcomingly, extending a paw to the crowd. They likely couldn’t reach it, but whatever. “I am Tatzelworm! I wish to give you the best performance I can in the games.” Act. Not performance. Not ‘I will win for you’ and not ‘I am your future round 13 winner’. She knew she wasn’t leaving the games. But she’d try. And try, and try, and TRY— until it was finished. Tatzelworm waved to a random cream cat, reminding her of their Lola. Kraken, if she remembered it right? She wanted to keep her eyes on the cream cat long enough to see their features, but quickly turned away. No matter. She smiled at the crowds one last time before being ushered on the train.
