[i'm filling this out... mostly for just fun... it looked really cool :D /gen] I. applicant: rise II. completed trial --- a. basic profile name? Deepmaelstrom clan: UrchinClan, always has been, always will be age category: Adult, 36 moons temperament: He takes the world into his view, and waits for the moment when he can strike. Most days, he's laid back, but on the flip of a dime he can easily be on high-alert, watching and assessing. Deep is very much a cat who can "go with the flow" but that is only because he believes it will all play out in his favor, he is, after all, himself. When he really does want something, though, he'll work at it, until his goal is reached, regardless of all the consequences. strengths include: Rapid adaptability, high intelligence, and a impressive understanding of poisons and things of the sort. weaknesses include: His fierce protectiveness, he'll abandon all else to save one cat that means something to him, even if the cost is one he shouldn't pay, his arrogance, which can lead to hot water quickly, and a lack of knowledge when it comes to fighting. --- b. his internal response patterns When someone withdraws emotionally, he: reacts based on the situation. If it seems he was the reason for that withdraw, then he may change himself ever so slightly to try and bring them back, but that's only when he's attuned to the other cat. Otherwise, he'll take it as a sign that they're done with him, and he'll try to match what they've done to him, spitefully withdrawing. When he cares deeply, he tends to: Open up to the other cat, if he thinks it's mutual. He might drop the arrogance slightly, and let a little bit of his true nature show. Deep tends to become jealous of cats who get to spend time with his loved ones, and is possessive over them. During conflict, he: Says words specifically crafted to pour gasoline onto the fire. If he feels like the other cat is trying to attack him, physically or verbally, he will return it. Him actually solving the problem? It would only happen if he had a deep relationship forged over time with the other cat. His relationship with trust: Deep is wary of everyone, unless he thinks they can really be permitted into his inner circle. He tells no one about his graffiti and secrets, only the cats he really, truly, cares for. Not even his children have been permitted his trust, they can only earn it once they're an adult. His relationship with independence: Deep has been independent his whole life. No parents to coddle him, no one to even guide him. Deep learned he had to make a way for himself, so he did, and doors opened because of that. What challenges him most in relationships: The most challenging thing for him would be building that bond, after all of his heartbreak. He may struggle with trying to see the other as an equal, too, because it is his belief he is simply better. --- c. subject response interaction When Vultureslaughter becomes emotionally distant, Deep: Deep tries to figure out what had happened, but gives up. Eventually, he just settles on the fact Vulture will come back around, so Deep leaves, not abruptly, to give him some space to come back to his senses. When he prioritizes protection over communication, Deep feels: Deep feels like he understands him, just a bit. Dee might crave a little bit of communication, but he'll put that aside. When he avoids vulnerability, Deep: Deep wonders who got him to be like that. No cat can truly hate being vulnerable so much, can they? He just sighs and avoids being vulnerable himself. When he remains loyal beyond reason, Deep: Admires that, thinking it's one of the best traits a cat could have, especially since he himself has it. It's only loyalty to the right people, though, if it's loyalty to someone Dee sees as corrupt, he'll grow to resent that other cat and label them as a disease. When Deep believes he is wrong, Deep: Deep sparks a debate over it, most likely a casual one, depending on the circumstances. If the stakes are higher though, and Dee believes Vulture is wrong over something important, he might try to slowly plant the idea that Deep is right, not whatever Vulture is thinking. --- d. mutual dynamics Who initiates closeness: Probably Vulture, Deep is still very mad about something he couldn't have helped. Who withdraws during conflict: Deep, probably, only when he realizes his own ship is sinking, though. If he's right, don't expect him to stop. Who apologizes first: Probably Vulture? Maybe? Deep would only ever apologize if he was keeping up appearances, had something to gain, or was truly sorry, which doesn't happen often. How conflict resolves between you: If there is a fight and silence after it, Deep may reach out over something small, slowly trying to break the ice. If the fight is big and lights everything on fire, Deep may not put in the effort to "fix" things, and instead pull himself away. continued in notes & credits
continued from above Biggest source of tension: In the beginning, probably the fact that Deep still doesn't know how his sister died, but he has a feeling Vulture was involved. After the air is cleared, though, it may be Deep's devotion to both of his dead loves, and he might struggle with truly having a relationship again. Strongest alignment point: Their strongest alignment point would probably be their ambition? (When Deep is actually feeling ambitious) --- e. long term stability If danger increases, he: Stays. He'll brave the storm, he is one, after all. If separation becomes necessary, he: Leaves a little after realizing that, and does his best to avoid conflict while not looking like a coward. If loyalty conflicts arise, he: Gets into an argument over it, or tries to get into Vulture's head about it. If the divide is really bad, he might slip away in the quiet before the storm, or leave after the climax of an arguement. If Vultureslaughter cannot change harmful behavior immediately, Deep: Tries to guide him to better behavior. If it's affecting him, though, he probably won't notice, or will wave it off if someone points it out. If others disapprove, he: Gets angry with the cats who disapproved and defends his choices. 1. Deep, probably, he's never called someone that aloud but I'd like to think he says it in his head sometimes. Would this relationship heal them... or make them significantly worse? That is the question! It all depends on their first few interactions and if Deep genuinely does like him. okay this was really fun to fill out. I don't know how well they would work together, but I just wanted to do this. If you think they'd work, we could try a few threads? Otherwise Deep will just keep seething in his corner :3
