She had an older sister, Sage. When she was young, a monster ran over her paw and a Twoleg found her and sent her to a medicine Twoleg. There, Willow recovered nicely and before the Twolegs let her go, they gifted her a beautiful blue bracelet from which Willow wore delightedly. Once she arrived home, Sage was so happy and swore an oath to forever protect Willow. However, they met a Clan patrol and got attacked, with Sage having the worst injuries. Desperate, Ivy and Moss tried every herb but it barely helped, so they went to explore for something that would help Sage. Willow found another Clan's medicine cat, who's name happened to be Cloverleaf. Cloverleaf convinced her leader, Tulipstar, for Willow and her family to joined their clan. Sage received her name, Sageleap as she was cured by Cloverleaf. Ivy and Moss became Ivyshine and Mosslight. But Willow didn't want to change the name she always felt true to, so she denied her warrior name.
