Well, this was certainly an interesting experience. Being poked and prodded, being fitted into clothes that felt /much/ too tight. Too stifling. HOW IS SHE SUPPOSED TO BREATH?! What. else. She had the bandana that her GRANDMA made to remind her of home and her PRIZED SCARF snatched away because it didn't fit their "vision" or whatever! Not to mention she didn't get a chance to tell her stylists that her weird goggle-hat thing was wayyyyy too big before she was shoved out into the open where light had flooded her sight before she could get used to the brightness. Sugar was a small cat after-all! No time to get oriented to her surroundings? That couldn't... shouldn't stop her. Not only was this a show for the Capitol, but later it could mean a life-or-death problem. It was showtime. Immediately, Sugar knew what she had to do. A soft, but confident smile lit up her face as she stared at all those... /cats/ watching her. Watching everyone be sent off to their likely demise. A wave, a smile, and do you know what else? What else Sugar Schroeder thought would up her chances of gaining a sponsor? The fire in her eyes. Confidence enveloping her entire being, while still looking at least a bit humble. Confidence? Something Sugar completely lacked? It wasn't too hard to pull off /fake/ confidence in her opinion. Look tough, have your head held high, and always, /always/ keep that fire in your eyes. Just... look like something you're not. ... All that mattered was appearances, not your actual feelings. No one cared about that did they? Most cats didn't care for such a thing. ... Smile and wave. Smile and wave. She waved at specific cats, she waved to the general public, she waved to everyone watching. Where was that crybaby Sugar /now/ huh? (Yeah, no. Right when she gets back inside to the room she'll fall flat on the ground and sleep. This took a lot of energy!) Hopefully it was enough to get what she wanted- no, /needed/ to survive the games. Hope was what any cat can do.
