Chapter 3: life at it's finest Summary: More into their life, really! Notes: OKAY, NO MORE PROLOGUE STUFF!! We're now getting into the present stuff, so yes we WILL get to the good stuff. Thank you for reading this so far if you have; I'm really doing my best for you!! xox, mouse BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEE- Hirano abruptly stopped his alarm, sighing at the fact that he had to go to work. Don't get him wrong; he loved working at an airline. It was hard and tiring, sure, but it felt as though it was made for someone like him. Just like his house. He sat up, swinging his legs over the side of his bed as he looked around the room like it was his first time doing so, but really it was for the sense of accomplishment he felt at the sight of it. Hirano went for a more modern, simplistic look that still had some feeling and atmosphere. All of his furniture was white, but the walls were a deep, ocean blue that made everything pop like he intended. He had a vase of tiger lilies sitting on his desk, taken care of, like everything else that Hirano owned, likes his books on his floor-to-roof shelf. 'Well, that's enough procrastinating,' he thought, standing up and stretching. Hirano made his way to the bathroom, cleaning his face and brushing his teeth, before walking down the hall some and lightly knocking on his boyfriend's door. "Kagi-kun, you awake?" A sound of acknowledgment was made from inside the room, so Hirano rolled his eyes knowingly and opened the door, greeted by more vibrancy than his own room. Kagiura's room was very random, to say the least, but mostly organized. He had all his basketball related things in one corner of his room, while another had books he studied from or bought when he was intrigued by something. The wall that stood out the most was what Kagiura called the 'Hirano-san wall'. It was a small shelf that held everything that Hirano ever gave him; dating back to when they just became roomates and friends. There were cards, gifts, and pictures all over it, like there was just too much love that he couldn't fit it all. Hirano glanced fondly at the items before walking over to Kagiura's bed, where the tall brunette was sprawled out underneath the blankets, one of his pillows on top of his head. Poke poke. "Get up, Kagi-kun." "Mmmm nooo leave me aloooone," Kagiura mumbled, burying his face deeper into the pillow. Even after consistently getting woken up at the same time for years, he still wasn't a morning person. Hirano, however, knew what would make the other get his a(hh) out of bed. "Hmm. What a shame. I guess you don't want Tamagoyaki," he shrugged, heading towards the bedroom's entrance and grinning as the younger shouts, "WHAT?! I WANT TAMAGOYAKI!" Minutes later, Hirano hears Kagiura coming down the stairs while he was getting three eggs from the fridge. He turns to see the other still in his pajamas and has yet to fix his bedhead. "Morning," the blonde told him, trying to cover his growing smirk,"It's nice to see that you're out of bed." Kagiura scowled, which was more adorable than anything else. "Only because you bribed me, Hirano-san." It was kind of an odd thing, them calling each other by the names they had originally established in high school, but over time, 'Hirano-san' and 'Kagi-kun' became terms of endearment rather than honorifics. "I suppose I did," Hirano agreed amicably, "But it worked, didn't it?" In response, Kagiura huffed and sat down on one of the island stools, swiveling slightly as he placed his arms on the counter top, continuing to pout. Hirano, now slowly cooking the eggs at a low temperature, glanced over his shoulder, noticing Kagiura poking his bottom lip out. He didn't bother trying to hide his smirk this time. "Aww, don't be like that, Kagi-kun. I only did it so you wouldn't be late to your modeling gig today." Getting reminded of this event reminder made Kagiura groan. "I just wanna play basketball," he grumbled, putting his face in his hands, "Not model something that I wouldn't even wear." In an attempt to console his significant other, Hirano said, (not turning towards him because he was focused on rolling the egg mixture in the tamagoyaki pan), "They think you're basketball skills are incredible, but they also probably want to flaunt your - might I say - incredibly good looks as a talent itself." Hirano was just being honest to a fault, per usual, but his support and [possibly] intentional compliment made Kagiura blush, causing him to cover his face more by crossing his arms and burying his head into them on the counter. "Thanks, Hirano-san," he murmured, his words somewhat muffled. Paying no mind to Kagiura's state (he was quite used to this), Hirano shaped the tamagoyaki using a bamboo sushi mat and cut it into six pieces, putting three each on two plates. "Of course. Now pick your head up and start eating," he told the younger, handing him a pair of wood chopsticks.
Kagiura did as he was told, picking a piece up, and was about to bite it when Hirano said, "Wait!" "What's wrong?" The brunette blinked in confusion, holding it in midair. Hirano shook his head, frowning at himself. "I didn't get the daikon oroshi," he said, clucking his tongue, "Don't take a *single *bite until I get it." But Kagiura wanted to take more than a 'single bite' out of something else when Hirano bent over to open the freezer. "...so yeah, that's all that really happened this morning." Kagiura says, sighing dreamily as his hair was getting combed. He was in the process of being prepped for a photoshoot showing off a new brand of sunglasses, and the photographer seemed very paranoid about everything being perfect and going according to plan. But Kagiura didn't care. He just wanted this over with so he can go to practice. And then so he could go home to Hirano - Delectable A(hh) - Taiga. Not that he'd even try to attempt to do anything l3wd (they hardly if ever kl$s as it is); Hirano would kill him, summon his spirit back, and kiII him a second time. His stylist and best friend, Juuya Niibashi, sighed as well, but in exasperation while he fretted over small details that related to pampering Kagiura. "If I was anybody else, I wouldn't be able to tolerate hearing you go on all the time about Hirano-senpai," he said, letting out another sigh before adding, "But I guess you get used to it after eight years." Kagiura straightened up. "Gosh, has it really been that long? It feels like it was yesterday when I first talked about Hirano-saAAN!!" His voice raised a few octaves as he yelped, due to Niibashi yanking his hair with the comb. "OW! What was that for?" Kagiura whined, reaching up to rub the injured part of his scalp, causing Niibashi to hit his hand with the back of the comb, and he yelped again. The one with fucsia colored hair felt a little bad, but the annoyance he felt managed to drown that feeling in the ocean that was his heart. "You mean besides the fact that this is the eleventh time - yes I'm counting! - in less than TWO hours that you've brought up your boyfriend? And not to mention you're making me recall some very, very unsettling memories that I'd really like to leave in the past," Niibashi shuddered at some of the things Kagiura said to him when they were in high school, as well as in their adulthood. Kagiura pouted, but took what Niibashi said seriously. "I'm sorry, Niibashi. I'll try to talk about something else," he quietly replied, feeling a bit guilty with all his rambling. Niibashi's own guilt decided to come back with a vengeance and kick his annoyance's a(hh), so he quickly stammered, "N-Not that I mind, or anything. You can talk about him whenever you feel like." He had said that last part reluctantly and on a whim, but he didn't regret doing so when Kagiura lit up. "Really? Are you sure?" Niibashi nodded, looking away from the other to avoid making eye contact. Clearing his throat and continuing to do Kagiura's hair, he remained silent, unsure of what to say. When he moved on to making sure the other's subtle makeup looked okay and ready for the camera lights, Kagiura asked, "How's being a stylist going for you?" The shorter paused, looking him in the eyes, noting that there wasn't any mockery in them. "It's great," Niibashi answered, putting all his supplies away in his case, "I get many more opportunities than I thought I would, and being able to chat with famous people isn't the worst thing ever, usually." He nudged Kagiura with his shoulder at that part, making the brunette smile. Those two talked for a while - an honest, lengthy discussion about life and such - until the photographer had to practically drag Kagiura to the set in order to begin the process. I DID IT GUYSSS I POSTED A LONGER CHAPTER!! I was DETERMINED to, so I hope it's okay! I hope you enjoyed! <3
