── ⋅ ── Apprenticeship Apprentices are the future of their clan. Their training should feel like a journey, not just a waiting period. Rather than assigning a single mentor to each apprentice, every clan has a Circle of Mentors. This is a group of experienced warriors chosen by their leader to pass down the clan's traditions, skills, and values. These cats are considered masters of their craft, each specializing in different areas of life. One may excel at hunting, another at combat, another at survival or history. Apprentices are encouraged to learn from all of them, building relationships with multiple warriors instead of relying on just one. ── ⋅ ── Grad Requirements Apprentices do not graduate simply because enough time has passed. To earn their warrior name, every apprentice must complete the following: - A minimum(feel free to complete more!) of 5 roleplay threads with various mentors throughout their apprenticeship. - Complete 5 different lessons of their choice from their clan's lesson list. - Demonstrate good understanding of their clan's traditions and expectations, hunting skills, and combat. - Submit your 5 threads and receive approval from your clan leader. - ***NOTE: These do not have to be insanely long! They just need to have at least 10 responses total to be counted(5 per person). ── ⋅ ── Why? Too often, apprenticeships are skipped over entirely. A mentor is assigned, a few roleplays happen (or none in most cases), and suddenly another warrior appears with little explanation. When in reality, apprenticeship is meant to be one of the most important parts of your character's story. Your mentors should become trusted role models. They should challenge you, teach you, frustrate you, encourage you, and help shape the kind of warrior you become. By the time a leader says, "I trust your mentors have taught you well," those words should actually carry weight. ── ⋅ ── Requirements (clan-specific) Groveclan: Wisdom is earned through patience.
