What about forcing applications to have parental controls if necessary? It'd be a better option, but they won't do that because it's about surveillance and data gathering rather than actually protecting children. Apparently UK coverage literally barely lets children get in any words about it, just pretending children are silly goobers and nothing more. Let's say there was a law that forced everybody named John to wear their credit card info as a nametag, wouldn't it be unfair if no Johns could actually be there and oppose it? Some UK surveys didn't actually have a "no I don't want any ID age verification at all". "Do you want age verification? Yes or yes are your options. Well it seems everybody wants age verification of some kind!" One survey had a "no I want age verification for under 16s", yet all the other ones were like: Yes - for under 15s, yes - for under 13s. Curious that that one in particular starts off with a no when it could be "yes - for under 16s". I may be going insane but that sounds like you're deliberately attempting to trick people who didn't read the rest of the option.
