Yes I wish I could dress in Ouji. Daily in fact. I know, I know "It's impractical!" They say, "It looks weird!" They say. ...... I don't care :) It looks cool and honestly I would love having more complex outfits, because idk, I feel like modern clothing is kinda lame not gonna lie. I mean.. Half of what I find in the lady's section in stores doesn't actually cover half of what it needs to anyway and we still call that clothing. I personally don't want to wear, or see others wearing, something that looks like it could just be their undergarments. No one wants to see that unless they are creeps. Also unpopular opinion; Girls do wear clothing for others eyes and approval. Now, let me be clear, that is honestly NOT *all* for the male gaze. It is for the *female* gaze. Because girls pressure other girls way more than dudes do. Sure, there are some jerks out there, but on the large part it is not them. Wearing short shorts and cropped tops or tops that have low necklines are popular, girls did that. If you don't like that stuff, they pressure you and say that you are over dramatic and that other clothes are restricting, and "You can't control my body!" No, no I can't, no one can, but where does it end? Because regardless of whether or not we choose to recognize it, there is indeed a pipeline of decreased coverage and showing more skin. Let me remind you ladies, if you think that regular modest clothes today are restricting, you should remember that there was a time when seeing a ladies ankle was scandalous. Back to my original point, girls are told today that they need to wear open clothing to assert that they are in some way in control, but in reality, it is just another way of pressure, and it is often gross. You are welcome for your random PSA.
This concept above also applies to a ton of other things, like makeup, skincare, piercings, and hair-care. I recognize that *in the past* yes, women mainly dressed and were forced to dress in a way that pleased men. But, now *In the Modern day* it is often not that way anymore.(That is, in the *US*.)
