The AAI A-27 Trisagion first flew in 1969. It is a trijet wide-body airliner. It was in production until 1992, with 1,200 built. Its main operator was Air Eagle, which operated 320 of the planes. Also, the type is plentiful in military service, as the AT-2 and the TP-22. Notably from 1975-85, 15 A-27B Albatross outsize cargo aircraft were built. 10 went to AAI for aircraft part transport, and 5 went to AAFCS for spacecraft transport.
